What files should I send for Mastering?
- We can accept uncompressed .WAV, .AIFF or .FLAC files. Ideally these should be rendered at 24bit and a sample rate of 44.1kHz or above. (Max 192kHz)
- Your premastered stereo mixes should ideally peak around the -6dB mark.
- Please do not apply EQ, compressors or limiters to the stereo mix bus… This is our job.
- NEVER apply normalisation when bouncing down your mix!!

- Individual stems should peak around the -10dB mark and can be mono or stereo. This is a rough guide and we appreciate some of your tracks might be a lot louder or quieter than this.
- All stems must have the same start location point to allow for exact alignment.
- Try and name the stems with the sounds they contain rather than just Track1, Track2 etc. This makes our job much easier.
I want to press my record to vinyl. How is this done?
- Nowadays, most vinyl records are actually pressed from a digital master file but for a true analogue pressing of the master this can also be done from a reel-to-reel tape.
- For vinyl pressings from a digital file, we recommend a dedicated vinyl master be done to ensure an optimum cutting. This usually involves slight changes to the stereo image of the bass and sub bass to ensure a solid image to prevent the needle skipping on replay.
